Wenger Refuses To Panic Buy

Arsenal may now have sold two major players, following the completion of Kolo Toure’s move to Manchester City, but manager Arsene Wenger is showing no signs of concern and says if he does spend it will be “in the right way”.

The club have funds available following the departures of Toure for around £16million and striker Emmanuel Adebayor, who also signed for Manchester City, for £25million.

Thomas Vermaelen completed his switch from Ajax to Arsenal on Friday reassuring fans that Arsene Wenger has noted a weakness in the defence this season. It is believed the fee for the 5ft 11 ½ defender is around the £11million mark which is deemed good business by Wenger, once again.

Madrid and Manchester United will be losing possibly the best player in

However, with such a ridiculous fee being transferred from
Madrid’s coffers to United’s it may cause concern for Arsenal and the
rest of the English Premier League.

Their is a report this morning that Zenit St Petersburg have finally accepted Arsenal’s improved £15 offer for Andrei Arshavin and Arsenal hope to complete the transfer of the 27 year old Russian winger within 48 hours.

Over the last few days negotiations between Arsenal and Zenit St Petersburg over the sale of  Russian winger Andrei Arshavin appear to have reached something of a stalemate.

It has been widely reported that Arsenal have tabled an offer in the region of £12million for Arshavin, with Zenit holding out for a fee closer to the region of £15million – £20million.


Senderos is going to Milan on loan

Philippe Senderos tonight looks ready to leave Arsenal, as he is having a medical with AC Milan.

Senderos, currently recovering from a back injury is set to sign a 1 year loan deal, which reportedly includes an option to sign him permanently for around £6million.
