The days of St Andrew’s being a happy hunting ground for the Gunners are well and truly over.
Arsenal won 4-0 in the Midlands back in 2002/03 and grabbed a 3-0 win the following season, but since then Arsene Wenger’s men have tasted victory just once and Saturday’s draw, like the one two years ago, has put the skids on the Gunners’ title charge.

Arsenal finished the game tonight away at Aston Villa in a goalless draw.
The match was an open encounter with plenty of chances for both sides, Fabregas hitting the post in the first half and Rosicky the bar in the second.

With the pressure somewhat off, Arsenal gave Manchester Utd the competitive challenge they had previously failed to muster in the Champions League semi-final but were unable to find the winning goal that would have prolonged the title race.

As the dust settles on a disappointing exit for Arsenal from the Champions League, Arsenal are now again out of contention for any trophies for a fifth season running, and if you were to believe many Arsenal blogs and fans the sky is falling.
Well, I am here to tell you that there is no disgrace in the way Arsenal have performed with an injury depleted squad this season, and certainly reaching 2 semi-finals and securing Champions League football for next season is nothing to be ashamed of.

Arsenal yesterday triumphed 3-0 on the night and 4-1 on aggregate against Villarreal in the Champions League Quarter Finals.

Van Persie scored his penalty well
An inspired Arsenal performance saw the Gunners breeze past their Spanish opposition to book their place in an all English Semi Final against Manchester UTD.

Yesterday evening saw a superb return to form for Arsenal as they destroyed Cardiff 4 – 0 in the F.A. Cup replay at the Emirates.
The match saw the extremely welcome return from injury of Eduardo.
