It's been a real roller coaster, no? Regarding this summer, I think the transfer kitty is probably closer to £20-25 million, without selling anyone. I know it's been reported that the budget was "cut" to £13 million, but that's sheer bollocks. We have the cash from the FA Cup & CL semis, as well as some other bits of pound notes laying about. If we sell Ade (and at this point I think it's a foregone conclusion that we will), the total available for the summer transfer window should be between £40-50 million. Now, AW won't spend that much, but he will have the freedom to go after the players he deems necessary to improve the club and not get outbid (save for probably Edin Dzeko, who we could lose out on).
