Blackburn 0 – Arsenal 4

September 13th, 2008

In another excellent Premiership performance, Arsenal today scored 4 goals away at Blackburn.
Arsenal never looked threatened by Blackburn, and completely controlled the game, keeping the ball very well, able to pass it between themselves at will.

This was how Arsenal lined up :

Almunia
Sagna, Toure, Gallas, Clichy
Eboue, Fabregas, Denilson, Walcott
Adebayor, Van Persie

Walcott, in the spotlight after his superb performance for England last week will not have disappointed the only recently encouraging media as he made an excellent run for his assist, cutting in from the wing to set up Van Persie for the opener.

Even more so after the first goal, it was all about Arsenal’s attractive passing football as Adebayor scored from Denilson’s cross at the back post, scored again from the penalty spot after Eboue was brought down in the box by Warnock, before magnificently rounding Robinson one-on-one for his hat-trick and Arsenal’s fourth goal.

Another clean sheet and another game Arsenal have dominated all over the pitch is surely very welcome news for Arsenal fans on a day that previously saw Manchester Utd defeated by Liverpool.

Keep smiling Gooners :)
